I realize I so long never blog about my first love before.

Um.

I mean my first beloved-till-I-gone-crazy-kyaa-kyaa anime.

Saiyuki is not the first anime I watched.

In fact it might be the 10th or 11th one.

I think those first first animes that I watched are

Ultraman, Doraemon, Chibi-Maruko, Sailormoon, Dragonball, Slam Dunk, Kamen Rider,

Etc etc...can't remember those classic animes.

Gensomaden Saiyuki (幻想魔伝最遊記),

In fact 'masked' / 'upgraded' me.

I wouldn't use 'changed',

Because there was nothing to change, really, when you were a 13 years old kid.

It was first serialized on year 1997 till 2002.

Anime was adapted on 1999.

The first episode I watched with my anego is on year 2001,

On the TV channel AXN,

Yeap, every weekday after school I will rushed back home to catch the 20mins per episode of Gensomaden Saiyuki.

Life was hard for a 13 years old kid at that time.

And yes, I fall in love with the anime soon enough.

I love the story, I love the characters, I love the sadness/happiness, I love the things they have been through.

I love how insane the authoress (Kazuya Minekura) to have written and drew such story.

Saiyuki Gaiden, takes place in Heaven, 500 years before the first Saiyuki series. The plot is based around the four main characters of Saiyuki in their past lives, and details exactly what it was they did to get thrown out of heaven.

Saiyuki Ibun, follows Priest Koumyou Sanzo in his days before inheriting the Sanzo title.

**Houmei which late became Koumyou Sanzo, was the teacher / was like a step-father of a orphan child Kouryuu, which later became Genjo Sanzo.

Gensomaden Saiyuki: Requiem "For the One Not Chosen"

(幻想魔伝最遊記 Requiem 選ばれざる者への鎮魂歌)

It is an arch starts where the Sanzo-ikkou meddles with things and found a damsel-in-distress, and Gyoujo,

who, always seem so gentleman-ish and horny and a perv kappa but actually a nice man who can't help but wanting help this poor girl.

Soon, the whole group follows and there, at a mansion, reveals a boy, who happens to be related to Sanzo's past,

The boy hold a grudge towards Sanzo because of some specific reasons, and the battle begins.
